First Commands

This lab will get you started with the first commands of the class and with my CIS-90 game player. Each week there will be a different level. Each level has walks, which are a guided tour of the week’s commands, a quiz with a few questions and a few lab challenges, where you put your knowledge to use.

Start from Opus

Start by logging in to Opus. This week’s level is called commands. Activate it like this:

$ cis90 commands

In class I show you how to answer questions and navigate the game (it’s pretty simple). When you quit you’ll get a confirmation code like this:

Your confirmation code is: oZiRW30fWf57InNjb3JlIjo2LCJob3N0IjoicGhvZW5peCIsInVzZXIiOiJtYXhpbXVzIiwiZGF0ZSI6MTYyNTY3ODEwNS44NTU5NH0=

Copy and paste the confirmation code into Canvas.

Starting Over

The progress you made on each machine is saved. If you forget to write down the confirmation number just start the cis90 commands command again and you will be given another one.

Turn In

Turn in your confirmation number on Canvas.
